In the early 1960s, the Goodyear Tire Company commissioned short jazz films. It was part promotional device, part good will gesture. The programs were originally filmed on 35mm negative. The sound was recorded in professional stereo. The films have been restored. See the gorgeous details and hear the excellent sound that was captured in the early 60s. These films now stand as some of the most technically advanced of jazz films, featuring some irreplaceable music.
