Jazzin the Black Forest documents the history of MPS, one of the most highly regarded jazz labels in all of Germany. In addition to charting the career of the mastermind behind the label, Hans Georg Brunner-Schwer, the film touches upon some of the stellar figures who have recorded on MPS including Duke Ellington, Wolfgang Dauner, Ella Fitzgerald, Albert Mangelsdorff, Dave Pike, and Oscar Peterson.
