Art Hodes was one of the great jazz communicators. He went beyond merely playing jazz, which he did superbly - he also wrote about it, broadcast it and started a small record label to market it. These shows are set in "Art's Place", a ficitional boite created on a soundstage. Art plays the genial host and pianist. This DVD combines three half-hour broadcasts drawn from a 1979 TV series with limited distribution.
