In a wild finale to an incredible life and career the late Pio Leiva leads an all-star collection of Cuban musicians in a piquante concert in the improbable latin hot spot of Tokyo, Japan. Produced by Wim Wenders in a followup to his breakthrough documentary The Buena Vista Social Club, this Musica Cubana ensemble event marked one of the last appearances by Levia, who is the spiritual leader of the Cuban music revolution.

Los Hombres Calientes, the New Orleans-based latin jazz group, are some of the most talented musicians in the field, including trumpeter Irvin Mayfield, latin percussionist Bill Summers, and drummer Jason Marsalis (brother of Wynton, Branford, and Delfeayo). Founded by Pierre Barouh, immortalized in his music and appearances in Claude Lelouch's cult movie "UN HOMME ET UNE FEMME", the Saravah label has been an ambassador for Brazilian music since 1969. Known for the consistent quality of the music it endorsed, the label's stable included such artists as Brigitte Fontaine, Jacques Higelin, Fred Poulet, and Bia. Considered one of the best acoustic guitar players of his generation, Powell helped bridge the gap between classical and modern music.

Tito Puente - King of Latin Music - DVD and Book

Biography of the legendary Tito Puente and a brief history of Afro-Cuban/salsa music that he popularized throughout the world. A 45 minute DVD includes Tito discussing his incredible 50-year career as a band leader and the influence of other musicians from Cachao to Celia Cruz to Santana had on him. It also features Tito soloing on his legendary gold timbales. The book includes a discography and 50 archival photos.
